I love occasional snow but I hate the unnecessary panic it creates for the people of metro Atlanta. It's hilarious to watch the TV reporters trying to find the "deepest" snow (6" max) to create backdrops for their silly reporting. The ideal backdrop scene would be accidents like cars in ditches or cars kissing each other or with trees. It's also hilarious to watch people swamping the grocery store fighting for the last loaf of bread on the store shelf. What bugs me the most is being stuck behind people who drive 10 MPH on the highway at the slightest snow flurries when the outdoor temperature is above freezing. Yesterday, I changed my flight back to Atlanta to 11am to avoid the bad weather. I was scheduled to arrive back in Atlanta at 9:50PM. As soon as I got off Atlanta airport, it started snowing quite a bit. However, it was 35F outside. I was stuck in horrible traffic at around 1:45PM all the way from the airport to Roswell, GA. I arrived home at around 3:50PM. A normal trip would have taken me no more than 40 minutes. People, if you cannot handle a bit of snow please use public transportation or don't drive.
