This is a well built blu-ray player. Not the fastest blu-ray but it is inexpensive for a 8x BD player. I will be reaping blu-ray and dvd movies I own to my hard drive. It is easy to install. My ZT Affinity 7282Xa HDTV ready computer (Windows 7) recognized it and in 15 minutes I was watching a blu-ray movie.
